Câu "Cố gắng hết sức để phát triển bản thân bạn" có thể dịch như sau:
(1) "Try your best to improve yourself" [dùng để nói với 1 người khác]
(2) "I'll try my best to improve myself"
(3) "One should try one's best to improve oneself"
Among the four examples you gave, only the second is correct, if you add the subject "I". In English writing, "agreement" governs; that is, what follows the subject must agree with it: I/myself; you/yourself; he/himself; she/herself; we/ourselves; you (plural)/yourselves; they/themselves.
Trong 4 ví dụ bạn đưa ra, chỉ có cái thứ 2 là đúng, nếu bạn thêm chủ từ "I" vào đầu câu. Trong văn viết tiếng Anh, các cặp sau đây phải đi chung với nhau: I/myself; you/yourself; he/himself; she/herself; we/ourselves; you (plural)/yourselves; they/themselves.
Note: There is a difference in meaning between "improve yourself" (trau giồi bản thân), and "improve by yourself" (tự mình trau giồi bản thân mà không nhờ ai giúp).
Lưu ý: "improve yourself" (trau giồi bản thân) khác với "improve by yourself" (tự mình trau giồi bản thân mà không nhờ ai giúp).
